After thirteen days of meeting each other in the third matchday in the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool welcomes Atletico Madrid at Anfield in a very crucial match. If Liverpool wins this match, then they will qualify for the next round. Atletico needs to win to keep their chances high for qualifying for the next round. A win will raise the odds in Atletico Madrid betting.

On matchday three, it was an enthralling match when Liverpool beat Atletico for three goals against two. Liverpool took the earlier lead by the goals from Salah and Nabi Keita, and it seemed like Atletico would not have any response. But they struck back with two from Griezmann within fourteen minutes. Those two goals changed the momentum of the match, and Atletico looked more dangerous. But the red card for Griezmann in the second half turned everything upside down for the Spanish club. Liverpool took advantage of having an extra player and struck the winning goal from a penalty, which Salah scored in the 78th minute.

The match in the 4th round will be the fourth meeting between the two in the last 18 months. Liverpool took revenge in the previous meeting for knocking them out of the Champions League in the 2019-20 season.

Now it’s time for Atletico to take revenge on Liverpool so that they can delay their qualification to the next round, at least to matchday 5.

Anfield will be on total energy as they Atletico Madrid. They will indeed have that night when Llorente scored the winning goal to knock out the Reds.

Diego Simeone’s side should be careful of Salah as he goes through the best time in his career. They scored a brace against them last time they met. If they can stop the Egyptian from scoring, around 40% of the attacking threat can be blocked. Liverpool will be delighted to see Thiago back from injury after two months. Fabinho will also be available for Klopp. But Nabi Keita will not be available as he will be out for more than two months.

Atletico will be playing without the service of Griezmann as he will be out due to a suspension with the red card. The Spanish club’s main threat will be Luis Suarez, as always. But his away form in the Champions should be a worry for Simeone. Joao Felix will probably be the first choice in the absence of Griezmann. He scored his first goal in two months in the league against Real Betis.

Both teams are unbeaten in the last two matches in the league. So, they will be hoping to continue the winning streak in the Champions League too.
