Scottish Premiership witnessed one of the best streaks of a team without losing a single game in the league and winning the title in 2020-21. It’s about Rangers FC, who created his last season under the former Liverpool player and legend Steven Gerrard.

The team won their 55th league title and the first in ten years. They were also able to stop their rivals, Celtic FC, from winning their tenth title. Sweet revenge for what they did to them in the 1990s. It was a perfect run from the Rangers, as they crossed the 100 mark in points for the first time and just conceded 13 goals in 38 games. It was a new record in the British region, as it was previously with Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in the 2004-05 season in England. 2020-21 season was the peak time for Rangers betting.

The unbeaten run was ended this season when they lost to Dundee United in the second league game. It was an end to the unbeaten run of 40 games. After last season’s performance, the team qualified for the Champions League playoffs. After winning the first two rounds, they faced Malmo in the third round. But they lost the match 4-2 in aggregate. It was also a consecutive loss for the Rangers after they lost against Dundee in the Scottish League. After the defeat against Malmo, they were dropped to the Europa League.

After the draw for the groups, Rangers was in Group A with Lyon, Sparta Prague and Brondby. The squad was hoping to continue their unbeaten run in the league and another unbeaten run in the Europa League. But currently, it’s not looking so good for Rangers in Europa League. Now, they are sitting third with just three points from three games behind Lyon and Sparta Prague.

The first group stage match was against the French club Lyon. Against Lyon, the team looked like a wandering man who was confused about what to do. They lost the game by two goals. One of them was an own goal by James Tavernier in the 55th minute. They just had two shots on target and were not able to break the Lyon defence.

The second match was against Sparta Prague, and they were hoping to have a comeback with three points. But it was another disappointing performance from Gerrard’s side. They lost the game for one goal, and the red card for Glen Kamara in the 74th minute was a massive blow for their comeback.

The team grabbed their first three points in the third match against Brondby. The team showed a convincing performance and won the game for two goals.

Rangers FC should win the next three matches for progressing to the next round. But there will be a relief for the Rangers fans as their arch-rivals Celtic is also having a poor season in the Europa League.
