Match Preview: Brentford vs Chelsea

This weekend, Chelsea visits the Bees when club football matches restart after the international break. Both the teams went into the break by winning the games. Brentford won against West Ham with an injury-time goal. This win also ensured them a place in the top 10. Chelsea also won their last match. It was against Southampton, where they won with three goals. Make sure to have Chelsea betting if Lukaku plays against the Bees.

Both the teams will be aiming to continue the streak with a win. But there will be a lack of momentum because of the break in the league matches. Brentford will take this golden opportunity to upset Chelsea with a win. It will be a test for Tuchel as the newcomers are having a pretty good start to the Premier League. Right now, they are only newcomers by name. Their matches don’t show any troubles of a starter in the Premier League. They approach every gave without showing any fear or doubts. They have only lost one game in the league. The game against Liverpool showed us how dangerous they are while attacking. Their key man Ivan Toney looks more lethal as the league progresses. It took some time for him to be in full flow. Chelsea defence should mark him in each second in the game.

There are some injury issues for Chelsea as they prepare for the match. Their key man Lukaku is a doubt as he got injured during the international games with Belgium. Their key defender Antonio Rudiger is also a doubt for the game. He didn’t play the last international match for Germany due to some discomfort. Without him in the defence, Tuchel might have to restructure the defence because Thiago Silva will not be available as he is on international duty with Brazil till Friday. So, Azpilicueta will move back as a central defender. The return of Reece James is a relief for the German Manager. The recent form of Werner gives hope for Chelsea in attacking. Werner should perform well if Lukaku didn’t play due to muscle fatigue.

Thomas Frank doesn’t have that much to worry about his team. He will deploy almost the same XI that he used to play before the break. He will surely start the Danish duo of Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen in the midfield. Both these players have just returned after qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.

It will be a battle between two Thomas’. Let’s see which Thomas will smile after 90 minutes at the Brentford Community Stadium. Frank or Tuchel.
