The Stats: Exeter beat Rovers – Jay scores twice

Exeter beat visiting Bristol Rovers on Saturday in the England League Two, winning 1-4 (0-4).

The hosting team Exeter started best and were already 1-0 up early in the game. After only 3 minutes Matt Jay netted.

In the 70th minute, Sam Finley scored, to reduce the score for Bristol Rovers. But Bristol Rovers ran out of steam. The 4-1 goal was the last goal of the game.

Bristol Rovers have had a poor start and have only three points from their first four games. Exeter claimed their first win.

The last outing between the teams ended in a 3-1 home win for Bristol Rovers in April 2016.
