Football fans on the social media site Twitter have been reacting to a protest being made by Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi today.
Having been stripped of the club captaincy at the San Siro after new contract negotiations caused tensions between himself and his wife and agent Wanda Nara and the club. The Argentina international has refused to travel to Inter’s next fixture.
The game in question sees Luciano Spalletti’s side journey to the Austrian capital Vienna to face off with Rapid Vienna in the UEFA Europa League round-of-16, in the first leg of their tie. However, Icardi has been left in Milan upon his own request with his future in Italy now looking to be in serious doubt.
Rumours in the January transfer window had linked the 25-year-old with a move to both Chelsea and Manchester United and there have been some interesting reaction Tweets to the news of the player’s unrest. Check out a selection of them, below…

His wife and manager manoeuvres him and has an arrogant behaviour with the club. Who will dare sign this player, though he’s an excellent striker?

Not sure why you would want a player like that in your team?! Clearly not a team player.
