Football fans from all across the world have been reacting to a laughable rumour that poses Everton‘s Richarlison as the replacement for Eden Hazard of Chelsea, on Twitter today.
The fact that Maurizio Sarri might be looking to the Brazil international for when Hazard departs Stamford Bridge, which is looking likely to be in the upcoming summer transfer window, has been reported by various media outlets in the last 24 hours.
Richarlison arrived on the Premier League scene before the start of the 2017/2018 season with Marco Silva’s Watford, later following Silva when he took the job at Goodison Park at the end of that season.
Whilst the Brazilian has impressed with 15 goals and five assists in 62 PL appearances, he is nowhere near yet on the level of Hazard, who has plied his trade in England for much longer. 81 strikes in 232 PL outings is just one reason why the Belgian will need to be replaced with a real world football superstar, should he leave.
