Leicester City fans have today been reacting on social media site Twitter to rumours circulating involving their young England international attacking midfielder James Maddison and a summer move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The rumours come as speculation is ramped up surrounding the future of Spurs’ own main man Christian Eriksen, as a move to Real Madrid in the summer is on the cards. It’s understood that the North London club are looking to Maddison as the Dane’s replacement.
The Foxes snapped up the 22-year-old amid interest from some of the Premier League “Big Six” from Championship club Norwich City last summer. For an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the £20 million region.
Maddison has really kicked on in his maiden season in the top-flight, scoring five and assisting four so far and even receiving his first call-up to the senior Three Lions squad under Gareth Southgate back in October 2018.
The bright young charge with a big future ahead of him would undoubtedly be a big loss if he left the King Power Stadium. And this has been reflected by some Foxes on Twitter and others disagree. Check out a selection of the best Tweets below…

Maddison is good but not at that level yet. Easily replaceable for Leicester
