The Statistics: Roma beat Fiorentina – Veretout on target twice

Roma defeated visiting Fiorentina in the Italien Serie A on Sunday 1-3 (0-1).

Roma started the match best and took the lead when Henrich Mchitarjan found the net after 26 minutes, with an assist by Tammy Abraham, making it 0-1.

Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo was sent off in the 52nd minute.

With 30 minutes on the clock, Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic netted, from a pass from Erick Pulgar, and equalised.

With barely 30 minutes on the clock, Roma’s Jordan Veretout scored, with an assist by Tammy Abraham, and gave Roma the lead.

Jordan Veretout again increased Roma’s lead, with an assist by Eldor Shomurodov, in the 79th minute. The 3-1 goal was the last one of the game.

The last match between the teams ended in a 1-2 away win for Roma in March 2021.
