France also made it 2-1 in the 47th minute, when Karim Benzema found the net scored a goal, with an assist by Paul Pogba.
With 30 minutes on the clock, Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal and equalised. This brought the final score to 2-2.
The result means that France have secured the number one spot.
The results in the last qualifying round mean that Portugal finish in third place and France in first. France has secured its spot in the playoffs.
