The Data Zone: Belgium beat Denmark

Belgium won against Denmark in the Euro 2021 group B. The final score was 2-1 (0-1).

The hosts Denmark started the match at pace and took the lead straight away already from the kickoff. After only 2 minutes Yussuf Poulsen scored a goal from a pass from Pierre Höjbjerg.

In the 54th minute, Thorgan Hazard scored a goal, with an assist by Kevin De Bruyne, to equalise for Belgium.

Kevin De Bruyne also scored in the 70th minute as he scored a goal, from a pass from Eden Hazard. The team had then turned the match around. The 1-2 goal was the last goal of the game.

With one game remaining, in the qualifiers Denmark are in last place and Belgium are at the top of the table.

Both teams will be back in action on Monday when Denmark host Russia and Belgium welcome Finland.
