It has been an exciting season in the Premier League to this point, but there is still so much to play for judging by the Betway sports betting markets. The title is almost certainly wrapped up for Manchester City, but the race to finish in the top-four and to avoid relegation looks set to go down to the wire. Check out Betway for some great odds.

However, at this stage of the season, managers and players start to look at the awards at the end of the season. Bruno Fernandes is already the clear favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year, but which manager is best placed to win the Manager of the Year award?

Pep Guardiola

It would be hard to start anywhere else than the man that looks set to guide Manchester City to a third title in four seasons. Guardiola has done an excellent job once again this season, and it is largely considered that his decision to change City’s gameplan after the defeat to Tottenham has been pivotal to their success this season. City have long been considered a side that look to press at any given opportunity, but the Spaniard was aware that the high-intensity game this year would likely see his players burnt out towards the end of the season.

Therefore, the gameplan was subtly changed, which saw the club get the best out of Joao Cancelo and Ilkay Gundogen. The decision for this change can be easily seen as the right move when you consider the run of results that Liverpool have had, as Jurgen Klopp has refused to change his style. Any manager that delivers a league title will be a leading contender for the big award of the season.

David Moyes

There is certainly an argument to be had that Guardiola shouldn’t be the winner of the award this season, as he has the best players in his squad and would rightly be considered to win the league. Therefore, there could be an outside chance that a manager that has overachieved with his squad could be in the conversation for Manager of the Year, and it would be hard to look anywhere else other than David Moyes.

The Scot was ridiculed after a disastrous time in charge at Manchester United, but he has certainly been back to his best this season with West Ham United. The Hammers could still finish in the top-four this season, which would have been considered almost impossible at the beginning of the season. West Ham have won of the best defensive records in the league this season, and Moyes has got the very best out of every player in his team. The Betway odds from the beginning of the season until now prove what a success he has been this season.

Scott Parker

One manager that could also be in with a shout of winning the award is Scott Parker, who could guide Fulham to an unlikely stay in the Premier League. Parker was forced to adapt after a difficult opening to the 2020-21 season, with some experts even claiming at that point that the Cottagers were the worst team to ever play in the English top-flight. However, there are few still sticking to that argument now, as Fulham are the side in the relegation battle that many feel should be safe should they maintain their form.

It has been an excellent resurgence by the team, and Parker’s impact on their upturn has been profound. The job that he has done with the club has even led some to speculate whether he could be a potential future England manager, but the only thing on his mind over the closing weeks of the season will be ensuring Fulham’s survival.
