Tottenham Hotspur fans have today been wishing their star attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen a happy birthday, as the Danish international turns 27.
Eriksen has been a key figure in North London since he arrived as Gareth Bale’s replacement in the summer of 2013, helping the club to a top-six finish in each of his five seasons at the club and looks set to do the same in his sixth this campaign.
The playmaker even aided the Lilywhites to a significant achievement on the eve of his 27th birthday, starting and playing a key role in last night’s 3-0 UEFA Champions League round-of-16 first-leg taming of German giants Borussia Dortmund.
However, as Eriksen prepares for the title run-in as Spurs chase Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League, rumours continue to link him with a summer move away.
