Last weekend Watford FC sacked Xisco Munoz after their defeat against Leeds United. He was the first manager to get sacked in English Premier League. The newly-promoted side only won two games in seven games. Now, the hopes of the Watford fans will rise after Watford appointed Claudio Ranieri as their new manager. Watford FC is the Italian’s fourth premier league club. But every fan will cherish Ranieri’s historic moments with Leicester City in the 2015-16 season. The fans will not have high hopes of winning the title, but they will surely expect a better performance under the Italian. Also, this will be a massive challenge for Ranieri after the success with Leicester. There will be pressure on him to give better results. The main aim of Watford this season will be to avoid relegation just after getting promoted this season.

Surprisingly, he has already started working by signing a new centre back Nicholas Nkoulou, a free agent. He wants to improve the defensive stability of Watford before the international break gets over. He has a few weeks to prepare the team to turn things around. EPL betting on Watford will depend upon Ranieri’s and the team’s performance.

Ranieri is having the most challenging months in front of him as the manager of Watford. His team will face Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Leicester in November. A tactician cannot ask for a difficult month than this. The results in these matches will have a significant impact on Watford and Ranieri’s future. If he can upset the big teams and grab some points, the board and the fans cannot ask for a better start. In December, he will face Chelsea and Manchester City within three days. It’s two busy months ahead of him.

The 2016 FIFA Best Men’s Coach Awardee is not hesitant to take challenges in his life. Such a challenge with Leicester City, who were battling with relegation, ended up winning the Premier League title, defying the odds of 5000/1. He had successful stints in different leagues, and his experience is what the Watford board looked into before appointing him as the manager. The Italian rejected many offers from other clubs before coming to Watford. He also was interested in returning to England after the short term with Fulham in the 2018-19 season, where he failed to impress.

The board of Watford has already stated that they need good results. They showed the courage to sack Xisco, the man who promoted Watford back to the Premier League. They want improved results, and they hope that Ranieri will turn things around.
