Have Liverpool just remembered that they’ve never won the Premier League?

That massive screech you can hear might just be the sound of the breaks being slammed on Liverpool‘s march to the Premier League title. And where’s there’s a potential bottling occurring, there’s funny football news for me to delve into.

Of course, Liverpool drawing 1-1 with West Ham at the Athletics Stadium doesn’t mean the wheels are coming off their attempt to win the Premier League title for the first time since football began but it does suggest that it might just be playing on their mind a little bit.

Liverpool led early through Sadio Mane but the Hammers got level through Michail Antonio. And, with Liverpool’s goal being massively offside in the build-up (something the linesman might have noticed had he not been 15 yards out of position himself), there is every chance that Kloppo’s team might have lost the match.

Jurgey-lad pointed to injuries disrupting Liverpool’s rhythm, which is a fair point, but if they are to finally end the curse then they’ll need to accept that just sometimes they will have to pick James Milner at right-back.

Man City have hardly been the most consistent side in the land recently but they will sense the door is slightly ajar now and we can assume Tottenham will be there for a little while longer. Well, they will be there until it looks like they could actually win the thing and then they will fall away like a stone dropped from a great height.

More importantly, was anyone watching Kyle Walker’s Twitter account last night?

I wonder if Paul Ince was watching this thinking that he could turn up as manager and see Liverpool over the line. After all, he thinks managing a top club is easy in this day and age.

We are a few days into February now, which means that all summer transfer rumours are completely fair game.

The destination of PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot is still unconfirmed meaning that Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea are all salivating at the prospect of signing him and blocking the path for one of their talented Academy boys.

Tottenham are also very, very keen on Bournemouth attacker David Brooks who has impressed so much since signing from Sheffield United. Will they be able to make a signing by July? July 2019, I mean.

Peppy G has had enough of waiting on Benjamin Mendy to live up to his price tag and is thinking of replacing him with Leicester City’s England international Ben Chillwell. On the other flank, he quite likes the idea of Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka because, well, he is rather good.

Tonight sees a few FA Cup replays. Yes, Tuesday is that exciting.
