A small instance from the first half where Napoli have directed Nice to the wings and out numbered them there while pressing.

Napoli played an aggressive high press and Nice having played very deep, played into their hands by trying to play out from the back on the outside.

Typical left sided dynamics from Napoli as the trio on the left combined to set Ghoulam free. Wall pass from Insigne to Hamsik sets it off.

How Napoli manipulated space despite Nice not being totally lured into the pressing trap. Brilliant positioning.

Lucien Favre, being the stickler for details he is, was careful in setting his side up to not get lured by the Napoli back passes into a pressing trap. However the spacing between the midfield line and the forwards was not optimal in their passive pressing. Napoli, with intelligent positioning and well-timed passes, were able to exploit this and progress to the final third.
