The Data Zone: Blackpool second-half performance salvages a draw away against Bournemouth


Bournemouth had a 2-0 lead in the first half of the game at home to Blackpool in the Championship. But in the second and the third period, Blackpool found their way back into the game and managed to make it all square. The game finished 2-2.

Bournemouth started the match best and took the lead when Dominic Solanke netted in the 6th minute, making it 0-1.

The team increased their lead to 2-0, when Dominic Solanke scored one more time. This occasion he scored, in the 19th minute.

With more than 30 minutes on the clock, Blackpool’s James Husband found the net and plugged one back for Blackpool.

With 30 minutes on the clock, Blackpool’s Jerry Yates scored and equalised. This brought the final score to 2-2.

The game was the fourth in a row without a win for Blackpool.

Blackpool have had a poor start and have only two points from their first four games. Bournemouth are on eight points.

The last outing between the teams ended in a 4-0 home win for Bournemouth in March 2015.
